Twitobite

Trilotwitobite? Twitobite?

You can tell I'm new to Twitter. I'm making up lame Twitter words and blending them with myself.

My Twitter updates are displayed here on my blog right below the "About me" in my sidebar, just above the RSS subscriptions. Follow me at http://twitter.com/flyingtrilobite.

(Peer pressure. Just say "no" kids!)

okay so for those of us who aren't into the here and now scene culturally... on account of being on the other side of the planet in a country that JUST got widespread broadband 3 years ago... what is twitter exactly?

not another facebook i hope?

Twitter is basically like the Facebook status update. Some bloggers are using it to promote their posts, but mainly it's a sort-of up-to-the-minute status usually done from a text message off cell phones.

I got into it when I submitted to Thaumatrope.

I have no idea what function it's supposed to serve so I'm using it as an outlet for minor complaints and wise-ass remarks.

I will no doubt live to regret this.

Whatever happened to old-school communication like writing actual letters and talking face-to-face...? Oh no!! NOOO!! Computers are out for for world domination!! They're poisoning our minds and our souls!! I guess our only hope for survival is to hope Dr. Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park is right....lol.

Sean, I'm enjoying your wise-ass remarks.

Hey Raptor, I know you're kidding (at least I think so) but when it comes to letters, yeah, I'm happy for the physical ink and paper someone sends in the mail, but I vastly prefer the community of online communication.

Yeah, I'm kidding. Kinda hard to tell on the computer isn't it? I mean, look we got Facebook, MySpace, Blogger, and now Twitter. This soooo does NOT help the U.S. obesity rates.

Posts over 14 days old have their comments held in moderation - I've been getting an unusual amount of spam for a guy who paints trilobites. I'll release it lickety-split though.
