  1. No, no, that's not an agog; it's a trilobite.

    Silly Sean.

  2. looking great, a very intelligent use of media for a fossil subject, have you ever considered going 3D?

  3. Thanks Marco!

It's been suggested before I try 3D, and I did some cement sculptures back in university. Sometime I'll have to post the screaming acorn statue here on the blog.

I toy with the idea from time to time. Right now I'm drawn to concept art more and more, and drawing characters in the round.

Pieces like the ones going into my new Etsy later today are more explorations, and playing with fossil forms.

Thanks for the compliment too! Suggestive of 3D is definitely a goal.

  4. Hey, I didn't say it was worth posting, Marco! lol, a few feeble attempts have already been up, but I seldom have had the time to just play with some roughs.

A lot of the Trilobite Boy pieces kind of feel that was to me.
    Like this.
    And this.
    And sorta this and this.

I don't know: do any fit the definition? I know they're not really trying out different variations to nail a character concept exactly...

Posts over 14 days old have their comments held in moderation - I've been getting an unusual amount of spam for a guy who paints trilobites. I'll release it lickety-split though.
