Art Monday: shale painting underway

A raw and unedited scan of what will be my new blog banner. Note the shiny wet oils glaring off the shale.

A mythical flying trilobite fossil heading for some crunchy crinoids.

Enough lollygagging! Back to work!

As usual I love it!

I do have one question though...

Why is it that no one draws trilobites with bite scars?

My trilobites are all made out of adamantium, same as Wolverine's skeleton.

Hmm. Perhaps you're right Eric. I may include some battle scars.

As always Glendon, nice!!!

By the way, the "battle scars" you're referring to are the Anomalocaridid bites, right? I thought so. Wait, adamantium?! Great! What's next? Metal "claws" protruding from the trilobite's side? lol.
Your imagination seems to have no boundaries. I hope it never does!! You may have worked hard for your artistic prowess, but your imagination is truly a gift that must ALWAYS be cherished and used.

Posts over 14 days old have their comments held in moderation - I've been getting an unusual amount of spam for a guy who paints trilobites. I'll release it lickety-split though.
