This is called "California Gold". I have coated it with clear acrylic gesso. After putting it in a cloth bag and dropping it on the sidewalk and chipping at it with a hammer.
I love art-making.

just so long as you don't become one of those modern artists who then takes the hammer to a completed piece, and puts a hole in it for no other reason then it is "modern art... you just don't get it" :P
