Art Monday: sketchy twitobite

My current Twitter background. Click to enlarge.

A montage incorporating sketches and drawings from the last few months.

The difference between a drawing and a sketch you ask? Drawings are considered to be more final, polished art. Sketches are the rougher, playful, workin'-it-out type of marks on paper.

Its like you were born 80 million years or so too late.

I like your appreciation of prehistoric Isopods, but what about modern day equivalents aswell?

Recently aquired a book called armoured knights of the sea by helmut debelius, if you can get hold of it its full of information and great photos.

By the way you draw hands really well!

Marco.

I'll look up that book, thanks Marco!

And thanks about the hands. The men's hands are based on mine, but a bit exaggerated in the wrinkles and I lengthened the fingers to make them more expressive in some of the drawings. The woman's hands belong to my wife.

This is so cool!

I really like the structure of your blog . . . hope to be back often :)

Thanks, B! (May I call you B?)

It's always fascinating how people structure things on blogs: I checked out yours, and you've made each facet nicely focused.

Posts over 14 days old have their comments held in moderation - I've been getting an unusual amount of spam for a guy who paints trilobites. I'll release it lickety-split though.
