I'm hard at work on another project, so I thought I'd post a couple of up-close details of The Forever Painting that were too difficult to see in a previous post when they were only a couple of pixels high. You can also see it in my gallery on DeviantArt.

Yeah I won't have picked up on the detail... the zoom in is quite helpful.
ReplyDeleteStupid blogger is never consistent with whether you can click to enlargen my pics or not... you have the same problem?
I think it depends how big the original image is. But I have had that problem; I'm not sure what the threshold is.
ReplyDeleteI usually save with fairly small dimensions to increase load times. The Photoshop "save for web" feature lets you tweak quite a bit.
Jpegs often have redundant info in them that the computer can sacrifice without harming the image too much.
Traumador, can you see in colour? Oh right, that's come up on your blog before. Like an eagle, eh?
;-)
One of your fans recommended I look you up! Nice work indeed!
ReplyDeleteA pleasure, Darren!
ReplyDeleteNice of a fan to put us in touch. Your gold and violet works are gorgeous and opulent.
I'm going to visit regularly; I've added you to the blogroll.
yup eyes of an eagle, and stomach of an eel... don't ask. just trust me ;p
ReplyDeleteSo where can I order a poster of this?
ReplyDeleteHi Eric,
ReplyDeleteYou're too kind.
I'm looking at merchandising some of my images, possibly through Cafepress, and maybe DeviantArt or Red Bubble. Not sure about The Forever Painting...this thing is huge. (It's in my living room at the moment, though sometimes I don't like it and it needs to go in a closet for a while.)
There's an illustration I am working towards completing for someone (I'll be sure to announce it) and then I have plans to try and make some sort of reproductions.
Thanks for the compliment.
I'm going to commission you to design a tattoo for me. I just have to figure out some details and then we'll talk.
ReplyDeleteHeavy comment to wake up to this morning!
ReplyDeleteYou know where to find me, Eric!
:-)
