Trilobite Boy Rocks Out by Glendon Mellow
Oil on beechwood panel, 2010.
Featuring my trilobite-human hybrid character Trilobite Boy putting on a killer show. This was totally fun to do, and I took a departure from some of my usual techniques: a "making of" post will be up soon. I've submitted this painting to the Art Evolved Pop Culture gallery, launching later today.
Hope you had a great birthday Mike!

Never thought trilobites had horns to throw. That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt is awesome, isn't it? I can't wait to see some of the "Making of."
ReplyDeleteWow, that's different.
ReplyDeleteI would be very interested to see the "making of" for this.
What is the overall size of the canvas?
Thanks Jason!
ReplyDeleteMike, it was a pleasure, and I was happily surprised when Karen contacted me about it months ago. I found myself waiting in suspense for your reaction.
Hey Rudi! The painting is about 12"x16". I'll try to get the whole making-of up over the next few days.
Kickass, Glendon! I dig it. I'll definitely be looking forward to the making of as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Irradiatus!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip about the funny-looking rss in the other posts. It looks fine in Chrome, but you're right: Firefox looks messed up.
