The Jupiter bit is awesome. My school has gone space mad, after I did a series of recess talks about why Grey Aliens are the dumbest thing ever. Side effects have been all my kids swapped their UFO books back into the library and cleaned out the general space science section instead ;) Only problem is now I need to up my space fact knowledge, before the tough questions start coming in (Carl Sagan isn't current enough :( )

Been referencing my ROM pics this week for an odd boardgame project (had a steady set of commissions from games... wish I had some palaeo-art work :( ). Keep hitting the pics with you, and flashing back to good times.

Started the sketch at the ROM, then worked on it a bit over a lunchbreak without using the photo reference. Quick blog post from my phone.

I tried to stop worrying about the realism of it and focus on the textures and patterns.

The saddest thing me and Alaric have ever been asked was by a friend who wasn't sure if he was allowed to bring his boyfriend to our wedding - we were so startled that it was even an issue :(

When I threw the flowers I upset loads of people by insisting that single guys could try and catch it too especially as it was a bloke who caught. We've had civil partnership here in the UK for a while but are currently fighting for full marriage to be allowed.

It makes me angry and sad :( Marriage is about love from person to person and back again it knows know boundaries be they gender or race or religion.

I'd go with monument, but it's not my stuff presay. It is yours, and I like your stuff. So I'd like it walking into see that anywhere.

It does have that weird question looming over it though when it is your own stuff you're displaying doesn't it.

I've wondered the same in my case, too. I think that often, sketches can be a lot more expressive than the finished painting - we allow the lines to be looser, less constrained by color and shadows.

It varies a lot. I usually like to spend 2-5 hours on a sketch or drawing, and 3 times as long on a painting if it's large. The little iPhone one was coloured in maybe an hour.
